Permanent Mission of Kazakhstan held conference dedicated to International Day Against Violence in Geneva

Representatives of the UN, international organizations, diplomatic corps, NGOs and mass media took part in the event.

The conference participants exchanged opinions on creatin of conditions for implementation of the current international programs on development of a dialog between civilizations, promotion of peace, tolerance, nonviolence and mutual understanding between peoples.

Kazakh Ambassador Mukhtar Tleuberdin familiarized the gathered with Kazakhstan's policy in the field of interethnic and interreligious dialog. It was noted that the Congress of leaders of world and traditional religions initiated by President N.Nazarbayev was recognized by the world community as a platform for exchange of opinions on support of an interfaith dialog.
