People's welfare is the main wealth of country - President

ASTANA. May 25. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ Welfare of the people is the main wealth of the county. President Nursultan Nazarbayev has announced it at the IV World Kurultay of the Kazakhs in Astana.
"Mineral resources are exhaustible. The main wealth is the nation's welfare. The people's wealth is a competitive economy, qualified specialists," the President said.
The Head of State reminded that at the I Kurultay of the Kazakhs in 1992 he promised the gathered that they would witness Kazakhstan's prosperity in the nearest years.
"For a short time Kazakhstan has become a well-known mighty nation with powerful economy, stable policy, prosperous people," he outlined.
Within the years of independence per capita GDP has increased from USD 700 in 1994 to USD 9 thousand in 2011.
