People's Artist of Russia Y. Steblov: Opening of monument to Stanislavsky in Kazakhstan is event uniting our hearts

AGANDA. January 10. KAZINFORM /Valentina Yelizarova/ Opening of a monument to Russian famous director Konstantin Stanislavsky is the event that unites our hearts, People's Artist of Russia, Vice Chairman of the Union of Theatrical Figures Yevgeny Steblov who has taken part in the ceremony considers.

"This is the event of global importance. Due to the program initiated by President Nursultan Nazarbayev, you have erected the monument to outstanding person who unites both our cultures and the theatres worldwide. Kazakhstan is the first CIS country which decided to build a monument to Stanislavsky while Russia plans to open it in Taganrog January 29 on the Motherland of Chekhov", he said.

As it was earlier reported, the monument to Stanislavsky was opened today in Karaganda city with the participation of Prime Minister Karim Massimov, Russia's Ambassador to Kazakhstan Mikhail Bocharnikov and some guests from Russia. The bronze sculpture of 2.8 m height was established in front of the main entrance to the Stanislavsky Regional Drama Theatre.
