Penalty of 50 MCI to be paid by drivers for parking in places for the disabled

"The reason for such roadstead procedures was applications to Astana city Department of Internal Affairs, and to the website of the city's akimat from disabled drivers about the lack of places for parking, because places allocates for their parking are often taken by other vehicles", said the head of the Road Patrol Service of Astana city DIA Rustem Omirbekov.
It is forbidden to park cars in places allocated for parking of the disabled. However, a lot of drivers take the liberty to ignore this rule. In this connection, an administrative responsibility in the form of a penalty of 50 MCI has been introduced in Kazakhstan for violation of this rule.
"Over two days, policemen issued over 20 administrative protocols and seized 6 license plates for violation of rules of parking in places allocated for the disabled. All violators were brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a penalty in the amount of 50 MCI", he added.
Workers of the metropolitan administration also remind all drivers that the penalty will amount to 70 MCI for repeated similar violation throughout a year after the administrative punishment.
