Pavlodar banks' loans to SME grew by 16% in 2013

Pavlodar. December 18. Kazinform - According to Kairat Nukenov, head of Pavlodar region's entrepreneurship and trade department, the amount of loans extended by the region's banks to local SMEs in the expiring year was 16% up year-on-year.

As of early November, the output of the region's SMEs was worth KZT 294 billion, which is 1% more on the same period of the previous year. Taxes paid to the budget by this business sector were equal to KZT 43.5 billion (105% yoy).
The region's SMEs are carrying out over 450 projects under the state program "Business Road map - 2020". The republican government has allocated 3.7 billion tenge to subsidize lending rates, give grants and develop industrial infrastructure.
Entrepreneurs' initiatives are propped by financial and consulting aid. The region has a business service center, centers for entrepreneurship promotion.
In the coming year, the state financial support to SME under the above program is to tangibly increase.
