Patriarch Kirill impressed by capital city of Kazakhstan

The Head of the Russian Orthodox Church complimented the role of the Kazakh Leader in the initiatives on support of the integration processes in the post-soviet states. He stressed that Russia and Kazakhstan have much in common in the policy of strengthening of peace and stability in the region and in the world.

Besides, according to the Patriarch, he was impressed by the new capital city of Kazakhstan - Astana. "The fact that such a beautiful city with magnificent buildings, modern infrastructure and sophisticated culture of people appeared in the steppe is really great. And the fact that a new Orthodox temple was built in the city proves good attitude to Christians in Kazakhstan", the Head of the Russian Church said.
