Patriarch Kirill hands over awards to some officials for assistance in construction of Uspensky cathedral

One of the principles of independent Kazakhstan is ensuring conscience freedom and crating conditions for spiritual development of all believers. And the visit of Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill to Kazakhstan approves this.

Patriarch Kirill on the behalf of the Russian Orthodox Church handed over the Order of St. Seraphim of Sarov of second degree to Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov, the Order of the Holy Prince Daniel of Moscow of second degree - to Deputy Chairman of the Board of SamrukKazyna Fund, Chairman of Board of Directors of KazMunayGas National Company JSC Timur Kulibayev, the Order of the Holy Prince Daniel of Moscow of third degree - to President of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company JSC Askar Mamin for the construction of the Uspensky cathedral. He also handed over orders and certificates of merit to other Kazakh politicians and Metropolitan of Astana and Almaty Methodius.

The Astana Mayor congratulated Patriarch Kirill, Metropolitan of Astana and Almaty Methodius and all Orthodox Christians on consecration of the Uspensky cathedral, he noted that tolerance, concord, striving for a dialog is one of the principles of President Nursultan Nazarbayev's policy.
