Participation of Austrian companies in forced industrialization program of Kazakhstan discussed in Vienna
The state and prospects of further development of the Kazakh-Austrian cooperation were discussed at the meeting. J.Mayer was briefed on the current socio-economic situation in Kazakhstan. Special emphasis was laid on the State Program of Forced Industrial-Innovative Development of Kazakhstan for 2010-2014 and possible participation of Austrian companies in it implementation.
According to the Austrian Minister, the Agreement on promotion and protection of investments signed by the Head of the Foreign Ministries of two states in January creates favorable conditions for further strengthening of cooperation.
The issues of trade-economic interaction are planned to be discussed at the second session of the Kazakh-Austrian Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic cooperation that will be held in Astana this autumn.
