OzenMunaiGas builds a unit worth KZT 1 bln

AKTAU. July 26. KAZINFORM OzenMunaiGas JSC has completed construction of a unit for preparing liquid for killing wells, which is worth KZT 1 billion (U.S. $ 6 million). It is expected that the work of this installation will prevent liquid transfer during overhaul and repair of underground wells by automating the process of selecting the fluid density for each well individually.

"The company expects that due to commissioning of this installation there will be reduced clogging of the productive horizons, loss of barium salts will be prevented and rejection of sucker rod pumps after repairs will be reduced. We are in the active phase of the consistent realization of the modernization program, which includes replacement of obsolete equipment, construction of new production facilities, and process optimization. The program has been scheduled for the medium term, the amount of projected investment is KZT 75-90 billion ($ 500-600 million). Its actualization will help increase oil production and improve working conditions ", informs the Director General of Exploration and Production KazMunaiGas JSC Abat Nurseitov.

Perhaps, for OzenMunaiGas JSC there will be built a workshop for diagnosis and repair of underground equipment. Now the company is evaluating the feasibility of its construction. Functioning of such a facility will improve quality of underground equipment repair, and thereby will increase its service life, as well as will upgrade the level of industrial and environmental safety at the enterprise.
