Over USD 3 bln to be commissioned for development of Kazakhstan?s refineries

ASTANA. January, 22. KAZINFORM /Zauresh Balkenova/ Over USD 3 bln of investments will be commissioned for the development of refineries in Kazakhstan. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Sauat Mynbayev informed of it yesterday during the session of the Ministry, Kazinform reports.
?The development program for refineries was submitted to the state bodies for approval. It involves the growth of capacity for processing crude oil at 2.5 mln tons with the improvement of production of oil-products?, the Head of the Ministry informed. According to him USD 3.1 bln will be required for the implementation of this program; the expected term of its implementation is 7 years.
According to S. Mynbayev ? the presence of domestic oil-processing capacities and pipeline infrastructure? can fundemantally solve this problem.
As was informed earlier, Prime-minister of RK K. Massimov pointed out the necessity to invest resources in the development of domestic refineries with the following State control over these enterprises.
