Over 70 Astana residents got consultations on chest trouble control

On this day famous pulmonologists of the capital together with professors and associated professors of pulmonology of the JSC “Medical University Astana” offered consultations for patients.

The number of patients who visited these consultations amounted to more than 70 people. In addition, on this day lectures for doctors and patients were provided. Lectures on control of this disease were attended by 130 doctors of the capital.

As it is reported in the Health administration of Astana city, there are more than 3000 people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in the capital. According to specialists, smoking is one of the main reasons for this disease.

The purpose of the held event is to attract attention to problems of this disease origin, to increase the disease awareness, to improve help to patients, to reduce tobacco addiction, and to prevent smoking and to inform the society on the adverse health impact of tobacco.
