Over 650 primary care facilities set to be built in Kazakhstan

While addressing the government session, Kazakh health minister Akmaral Alnazarova spoke about the implementation of the ‘Modernization of rural healthcare’ national project, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

The first task of the national project provides for construction of 655 primary health care facilities, of which 92 were built in 2023, seven projects are near completion (two in Kostanay, one in East Kazakhstan, and four in Ulytau regions), said Alnazarova.

She went on to add that 556 primary health care facilities are set to be commissioned this year.

An additional 99.6 billion tenge of funds is needed to construct 498 primary health care facilities, said the minister.
