Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received visiting Foreign Minister of Cyprus Constantinos Kombos, Kazinform News Agency learnt from the Akorda press service.
During the meeting, the Head of State affirmed Kazakhstan’s commitment to develop partnership relations with Cyprus. He noted for 32 years of diplomatic relations Astana and Nicosia established a strong political dialogue and investment cooperation.
The Head of State hailed the decision to open the Embassy of Cypriot in Astana that symbolizes a new chapter in diplomatic relations and will give an impetus to the development of partnership.
Foreign Minister of Cyprus Constantinos Kombos thanked for warm welcome. He said the countries have a huge potential for expanding cooperation between the two states.
They shared views on prospects for the development of cooperation in trade and economic, investment and tourism sectors, debated international and regional agenda, including cooperation within UN and EU.
