Over 3 thousand cameras to be installed on Astana roads

In accordance with the information of "Astana Innovations" JSC, the video surveillance system is being installed on the roads of Astana in order to ensure road traffic safety. The cameras at the intersections record crossing of the stop lines by vehicles, ignoring of traffic lights in the automatic mode. Besides, the other violations are recorded and registered with involvement of the workers of the Operations Center.

The system also allows to not just record and register speeding in front of the cameras but also in between the places where the cameras are installed. Besides, it helps to register such violations as stopping and parking in the prohibited places.

High resolution cameras also allow to see car plates at the distance of 100 meters and up to 50 meters at night. When a violation is registered the system sends a signal to an operator and the operator decides if the case is a violation. If the case is deemed to be a violation the information is sent to the department of internal affairs for further actions.
