MEXICO. November 27. KAZINFORM A total of 3,000 Honduran and over 300 international observers will monitor the November 29 presidential elections in Honduras, the country's Supreme Electoral Tribunal has said, Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
International monitors will include EU observers, U.S. representatives of the Democrat and Republican parties and Organization of American States officials. A government delegation from Panama is also due to monitor the polls.
Liberal Party candidate Elvin Santos and Porfirio Lobo, the National Party's presidential candidate, are the leading contenders.
