Over 28 000 Astana residents have no own flats

These are mainly representatives of vulnerable social groups, social workers, teachers, physicians, who have been awaiting for their turn to get a free apartment for more than one decade. Over the past 5 years, over 4 500 families have received flats in Astana, of whom 1 200 belong to disadvantaged social groups. Every year, tens of thousands of people move to Astana from the country's other regions, which urges the city administration to speed up the housing construction.
