Over 1mln Kazakhstanis spent their holidays abroad in 2024
1,002,802 Kazakhstani tourists spent their holidays abroad from January 1 to December 1, 2024. Last year, their number was at 794,194, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Turistik Qamqor Fund.
By tradition, Türkiye, Egypt, UAE, Vietnam, Thailand, China, Georgia, the Maldives, Qatar and Sri Lanka remain the most popular destinations for the Kazakh tourists.
The Turistik Qamqor Fund reminds of the importance of the tourist code – a unique alphanumeric code, by checking which a tourist can be sure that the flight and accommodation have been paid for by the tour operator to the host party and the airline. When purchasing a tour, it is important to make sure that the tour operator is in the State Register of Travel Agencies.
Earlier, it was reported that the Kazakh city Almaty won Best Tourist Destination nomination at the Qatar Travel Mart international tourist exhibition (QTM 2024).
