Over 170 houses being built for flood victims in Aktobe region

A total of 178 houses for flood-hit residents are being constructed in Oiyl district of the Aktobe region. In addition to the district center, construction companies are building houses in the villages of Karatal, Akkemer, Kemer, Akzhar and Bestamak, Kazinform News Agency cites the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The center of the rural district named after Sh. Bersiev sustained the most severe damage due to flooding earlier this spring. Construction of 133 houses has commenced in Karatal village. The ministry's press service announced that engineering networks have been connected to 15 houses and that window joinery is already underway.

The ministry has announced that 50% of the 20 houses currently under construction in Oiyl district are awaiting the connection of telecommunications network. 

Five houses are under construction in Akzhar and two in Kemer and Bestamak apiece. In addition to construction, builders are also engaged in roofing, plastering and the installation of utilities.
