Over 1,300 cars stuck on roads in Kazakhstan’s Karaganda region in snowstorm

The republican and regional roads were shut down in Karaganda region on March 6 due to heavy snowstorms and low visibility, Kazinform News Agency reports.

719 cars, 605 trucks and 16 buses were stuck on the roads across Karaganda region due to weather deterioration, the regional police department reports.
Three traffic accidents occurred involving several cars on the Karaganda-Temirtau road due to limited visibility on slippery roads and violation of speed limits. No casualties were reported.
Police urge all to avoid non-essential trips, obey traffic laws when weather is bad.
It was earlier reported, ice slick and snowstorms are expected to batter Kazakhstan today.
