Over 100 new A/H1N1 flu cases confirmed in Europe

STOCKHOLM. June 9. KAZINFORM A European health agency said on Monday that 108 new A/H1N1 flu cases were reported in European countries within the last 24 hours; Kazinform refers to Xinhua.
Of the new cases, 71 were confirmed in Britain, ten each in the Netherlands and Italy, six in Switzerland, five in Germany, two each in Denmark and Sweden, and one each in Poland and Estonia, the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) said in its daily situation report.
The total number of confirmed cases of the A/H1N1 flu virus in the EU (European Union) and EFTA (European Free Trade Association) countries rose to 1,164, with 291 cases in Spain and 557 in Britain, 57 in France and 68 in Germany, the ECDC said; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
