Ovechkin scores 500th NHL goal

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Alexander or just "Alex" Ovechkin scored his 500th regular-season goal in the NHL last night when his Washington Capitals defeated the Ottawa Senators with the final score 7:1.
He has become the first Russian to accomplish the feat, and only four players needed fewer games to reach the 500-goal plateau.
