"Dear Kazakhstanis!

With all my heart I congratulate you on the bright holiday - Easter!

Today all citizens of our country irrespective of their ethnic backgrounds celebrate this holiday.

Kazakhstan is a multi-ethnic and a multi-confessional country. Our main wealth is peace and accord among the peoples and religions. There is a good tradition in our country to celebrate together Nauryz, Qurban Ayt (Eid al-Adha), Christmas, Oraza Ayt (Eid al-Fitr) and Easter.

On this bright day I would like to point out the creative role of the religions in strengthening moral and family values in our society. Our unity is based on high moral ideals, calling us to patience, love for mankind and mercy.

Over 20 years of independence, due to our unity and friendship we have built a prospering Kazakhstan. To date our republic serves as a model of stability, peace and harmony. The entire world sees today the growing potential of our country and recognizes the important and responsible role of Kazakhstan in the global community.

Our common duty is to preserve our spiritual and cultural values, to strengthen the unity of the nation and stability in the country.

On this wonderful day I would like to wish strong health and well-being to all of you! Peace and calm to each family, to our Motherland - Kazakhstan!"
