OSCE mission arrives in Uzbekistan to observe presidential elections

TASHKENT. KAZINFORM - Election observation mission of the OSCE/ODIHR arrived in Uzbekistan to observe presidential elections, said Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan on February 22.

The mission led by Ambassador Tana de Zulueta was registered by CEC and it includes 12 people, Kazinform has learnt from AKI Press. Mission will have 20 representatives from Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Canada, Latvia, Moldova, Poland, Russia, France, Switzerland and other states. Ms. Tana de Zulueta, Head of the OSCE/ODIHR limited election observation mission, is an independent expert on human rights, elections, mass media. She is a writer and journalist. She participated as an observer in various countries of Asia, Africa and Europe. Presidential elections will be held in Uzbekistan on March 29.
