ASTANA. March 2. KAZINFORM The OSCE has failed to become a platform to find a way out of the economic stupor, which hit all OSCE member states, Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said a meeting with the diplomatic corps on Friday in Astana.
"More and more countries in the OSCE area of responsibility are falling into recession. Flaws of the international monetary system are obvious. They threaten with a global relapse into crisis, even more serious than two years ago. However, the issues of economic irresponsibility are not the OSCE priority. The OSCE military dimension has frozen, the Corfu Process is at a standstill. Proposals of Kazakhstan and other countries to enlarge "security baskets" are still not implemented. I hope that my position and my concern will be brought to the attention of your governments and leaders of international organizations," Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized.
