OSCE Chairman-in-Office Saudabayev sums up results of his visit to Bishkek

BISHKEK. April 20. KAZINFORM /Yevgeny Novikov/ Today at a press conference at the Hyatt Regency Bishkek hotel Chairman-in-Office of the OSCE, Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev has summed up the results of his visit to Kyrgyzstan.

"Due to the consolidated efforts of President of Kazakhstan N. Nazarbayev, Russian Leader D. Medvedev and President of the U.S.A. Barack Obama ex-President of the Kyrgyz Republic Kurmanbek Bakiyev was brought out from the republic. This allowed lowering the tense in the country and excluded the opportunity of beginning of a civil war", Saudabayev said.

In his opinion, today the interim government of Kyrgyzstan has all opportunities for implementing its program, bringing law order into the country and conducting reforms in socio-economic sphere. Parliamentary elections should be held too, he added.

"The OSCE is seriously involved in the process of regulation of the problem. The Organization possesses huge potential which has been revealed in the current situation", the OSCE Chairman-in-Office noted.

Besides, K. Saudabayev said he had arrived in Bishkek not only as the OSCE Chairman-in-Office but also as a representative of Kazakhstan.

President of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev asked to convey Kyrgyzstan that Kazakhstanis would not leave Kyrgyz people in the lurch and would exert every effort to help them.
