Speed skating competitions end at 2025 Asian Winter Games

The 2025 Asian Games speed skating competitions have been wrapped up in Harbin, China, Kazinform News Agency cites the National Olympic Committee.

The last medals were awarded in the 1,000m, and Team Pursuit events.

In the Men's 1000m, Altaj Zhardembekuly finished 9th, Roman Binazarov came 11th, Artur Galiyev is 14th, and Nikita Vazhenin is 16th.

In the Women's 1000m, Nadezhda Morozova finished 7th, Daria Vazhenina is 10th, Inessa Shumekova is 14th, and Arina Ilyachsehenko came 16th.

In the Men’s Team Pursuit, Nuraly Akzhol, Vitaliy Chshigolev, Vadim Yakubovskij finished one step away from medal.

During the Women’s Team Pursuit, Nadezhda Morozova got a knee injury, and the team could not compete for the medal.

As reported earlier, Kazakh men's freestyle team pocketed historic Freestyle Aerials Synchro gold at the ongoing Asian Winter Games 2025 in Harbin.

On top of that, Kazakhstan’s Ardana Makhanova and Ayana Zholdas won bronze medals in the Women's Aerials Synchro Final.

In addition, the Kazakh men’s ice hockey team reached the semifinals in Harbin.
