One more step to Kazakhstan-Europe rapprochement

ASTANA. May 21. KAZINFORM International scientific conference Modern Kazakhstan and ?Path to Europe? has become one more step towards rapprochement of Kazakhstan and Europe. Deputy of the French Parliament, Head of the Delegation of the National Assembly of France to the OSCE PA Michele Voisin and ex-Deputy of the National Assembly of France, President of the European Company for Strategic Monitoring Olivier Darrason expressed such opinion at a meeting with Vice Chairman of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament Zhanybek Karibzhanov.
As the press service of the Lower House informs, the parties expressed confidence that the oncoming visit of President of France Nicolas Sarkozy to Kazakhstan and the agreements to be reached would give a new impulse to the bilateral relations.
The parties also noted an important role of the Great Silk Road as a means of communication between Asia and Europe and the historical importance of Kazakhstan?s chairmanship in the OSCE in 2010.
