Oncoming CICA Summit in Istanbul to become unique event - session of CICA Senior Officials

The sittings aimed at discussion of preparation and organization of the III Summit of the heads of the state and governments of the CICA countries scheduled for June 8 in Istanbul. The participants considered draft final documents of the III Summit - a Convention and a Declaration. Following discussions the Convention on privileges and immunities of the CICA Secretariat, its staff and representatives of the CICA member countries got a conditional approval. The Committee also succeeded in completion of discussion of the most part of the Declaration of the upcoming summit. This draft document is planned to be finished at the next sitting of the Committee.

N. Yermekbayev reminded that the CICA is the forum initiated by Kazakhstan in 1992. "The oncoming Summit in Istanbul will be unique since for the first time in CICA history Turkey will take the office of the Organization presiding country. Within the Summit we plan to hold a special event Cooperation in economy and security in the XXI century on the Eurasian space. Heads of the foreign economic structures of CICA, OSCE and Asian partners of the OSCE will be invited to it", Yermekbayev added.
