Olympic champion to head boxing school in Karaganda

KARAGANDA KAZINFORM - Bronze medalist of the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and world champion Serik Yeleuov has become the principal of a boxing school for youngsters in Karaganda city, the athlete told Kazinform correspondent about the recent appointment.
"I was appointed the principal of the boxing sports school of Olympic reserve for youngsters in Karaganda a couple of days ago. I was really excited to take this opportunity. I dedicated 20 years of my life to sports. This is what my heart and soul long for," Mr. Yeleuov said.
"There is a lot of work ahead. Given my personal experience, I can see how we can improve work with young athletes. The Karaganda boxing school will return to its glory. This is our goal," S. Yeleuov noted. Serik Yeleuov is the Olympic medalist and Honored Master of Sports of Kazakhstan. Major Yeleuov used to train staff of special detachment Berkut.
