Oil production at Kashagan field likely to resume in 2016

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Oil production at the Kashagan oil field will resume in second half of 2016, Vice Minister of Energy Magzum Mirzagaliyev announced at the exhibition Oil and Gas - KIOGE 2014 on Wednesday.
"Based on the information and technological forecasts that we have, the resumption of production will start in the second half of 2016. It will be resumed after all pipes are replaced," Vice Minister Mirzagaliyev said. Earlier it was reported that oil production at the Kashagan field was suspended in autumn 2013 due to a gas leak.
