OIC: Vote conducted freely, transparently, no violations

ASTANA. April 3. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ Observers from the Organization of the Islamic Conference noted free and transparent atmosphere during voting at polling stations in Astana, they have visited today. Sukru Tufan, Director General of the Cabinet and Advisor to the office of the General Secretary of the OIC said it at a briefing on Sunday.

"In the morning our delegation visited several polling stations. We did not notice any violations. Vote was conducted freely, transparently and very quietly," Mr. Tufan noted.

The representative of the OIC noted good voter turnout.

According to him, observers from the OIC in the afternoon will visit other ballot stations. The results of monitoring the OIC will present tonight or tomorrow.
