OIC is renamed

ASTANA. June 28. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev expressed his confidence that the 38th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers would contribute a lot to strengthening security and harmony in the Muslim world.
'Renaming the organization into the Organization of Islamic Cooperation today in Astana will be a symbol of our modernization, unity and competitiveness of the Ummah,' the President of Kazakhstan said at the 38th session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Astana.
Besides, the President noted that Kazakhstan would exert every effort to promote the image of the Organization at the world arena.
