Official rate of refinancing 7.5% per annum - National Bank

ALMATY. August 7. KAZINFORM As per the Law On National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan the board of the National Bank decreed to fix official rate of refinancing at 7.5% per annum since August 10, 2009, Kazinform reports.
Reduction of the official rate of refinancing is connected with decline in annual inflation to 6.8% in July 2009 and general drop in market rates on the domestic inter-bank market. In particular, by the end of July the index of KazPrime made 8.52% having lowered from 15.04% in March.
The level of official rate of refinancing at 7.5% is one of the minimum indices. The lowest official rate (7.0%) was established from July 7, 2003 to February 1, 2005.
