ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) attaches much significance to relations with Kazakhstan, OECD's Marcos Bonturi told a press conference in Astana on Monday.

"We hope the country cooperation program set up for Kazakhstan will strengthen relations between the OECD and Kazakhstan in the future," Bonturi, OECD Global Relations Secretariat Director, noted. He stressed that the program will open a new page in bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and the organization. "The OECD attaches much significance to relations with Kazakhstan. We will work closely with our Kazakhstani friends to finish up the program in the coming months," Mr. Bonturi added. As reported earlier, the Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has set up the country cooperation program for Kazakhstan. The OECD country programs enable its non-member states to cooperate with the organization.
