Nursultan Nazarbayev, Vladimir Putin meet in Astana

ASTANA. July 7. KAZINFORM President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has met today with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, Kazinform has learnt from Akorda's press service.
At the meeting the sides touched upon the issues of further development of bilateral relations and implementation of the agreements reached upon the results of the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Astana in May.
President Nazarbayev thanked Vladimir Putin for his visit and noted the high level of cooperation between the two nations.
The Russian leader, in turn, congratulated Nursultan Nazarbayev on his birthday and wished him success in his work.
In addition, the heads of state discussed the relevant issues on the international agenda, including situation in Afghanistan in connection with the withdrawal of coalition forces in upcoming year.
