Nursultan Nazarbayev delivers a welcome speech at Eurasian Media Forum in Astana

ASTANA. April 25. KAZINFORM – In Astana on April 25 starts the Eurasian Media Forum which is expected to be opened with a welcoming speech made by Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of Kazakhstan.

Today’s media forum agenda is very wide. Participants of the event are prominent international politicians, economists, journalists and political figures, as well as representatives of the media, political and expert organizations from more than 60 countries worldwide.

They will discuss the current problems of global and regional levels, security issues in Central Asia after the withdrawal of NATO troops from Afghanistan, the situation in the Middle East, the prospect of the Eurasian Economic Union, the issue of information security and media trends of the XXI century and the real possibilities of the "green economy" in Kazakhstan.

A separate set of questions concerns the forthcoming international specialized exhibition «EXPO-2017" which is to take place in Astana. In particular, the participants are interested in the scientific and human potential of Kazakhstan to enter the "green economy" as well as the experience and perspectives of bilateral cooperation of intergovernmental programs in the field of development of the industry and energy-efficient projects.

Three great meetings are to be carried out today. The Forum will be for two days, i.e. from 25 to 26 April.
