Nursultan Nazarbayev believes new senators deserve appointment

The Head of State noted that in line with the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan 15 deputies of the Senate (upper chamber of the Kazakh Parliament) are designated by the President.

"Since previous MPs have served their full term in office, I have invited you to announce that you've been appointed as the deputies of the upper house of the Parliament. I believe you are the most deserving candidates and pride on having extensive experience that can be used in the parliamentary work," stressed the Kazakh leader.

President Nazarbayev also underlined the importance of the new appointment that entails careful examination of all bills submitted to the chamber. "Ability to maintain constructive discussion and protect Kazakhstan's interests are of paramount importance for MPs," added Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The newly designated senators thanked the Head of State for trust and assured they would play an active role in the lawmaking activity of the chamber in order to improve the life of Kazakhstan citizens.
