‘Nurly Zhol’ will have positive effect on Kazakh automotive business - A.Lavrentiyev

ALMATY. KAZINFORM. - The Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business (AKAB) predicts that in 2015 domestic producers will have a chance to conquer a higher market share in the country.

Moscow plant Renault, Ford and "PSMA Rus" (Citroen and Mitsubishi) have stopped the assembly of foreign cars. After the holidays, this fate is likely to befall the Kaliningrad assembly factory "Avtotor" and the GM plant in St. Petersburg. AKAB has noted that domestic producers will have a chance to conquer a higher market share in the country. President of the Association of Kazakhstan Auto Business Andrei Lavrentiyev believes that the new economic policy "Nurly Zhol" and FIID-2 will help the Kazakh automotive business. "Today, due to global economic instability, the car market of the Customs Union is going through hard times. In my opinion, the programs "Nurly Zhol" and FIID-2 will be a kind of "lifeline" for the economy of our country as a whole, and for the Kazakhstan car business in particular," he said. According to experts, the program will have a positive effect on the growth of new jobs, the development of infrastructure, as well as the revival of manufacturing and related industries.
