Number of Uzbekistan citizens traveling to Japan rises 1.6 times

According to the National Statistics Committee, 1.7 thousand citizens of Uzbekistan visited Japan between January and July 2025, UzA reports.

This represents an increase of 663 people, or 1.6 times, compared to the same period last year.
The purposes of travel among Uzbekistan citizens during the first seven months of 2025 were distributed as follows:
Tourism: 1,407 people;
Visiting relatives: 196 people;
Study: 103 people;
Official trips: 28 people;
Medical treatment: 4 people.
Earlier, it was reported that Japan's popular tourist spot Okinawa is set to levy the accommodation tax.
