Number of flood victims rises to 35 - Almaty region

ASTANA. March 13. KAZINFORM. /Serik Sabekov/ According to the latest data, the number of victims in the flood in Kyzyl-Agash village of Almaty region made 35 people. President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has said at the sitting in Akorda.
Due to this the Head of the State urged the competent bodies to hold investigation and find out the reasons of the emergency situation and punish those guilty.
All the victims and the homeless are temporarily housed in hotels; they get medical assistance.
The President also informed there was formed a State Commission on the case headed by Vice Premier - Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev. It will consist of Emergencies Minister V. Bozhko, Prosecutor General K. Mami.
