Norwegian NGO 'Bike for Peace' to hold bicycle ride in Kazakhstan

TANA. August 1. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Norwegian non-governmental organization 'Bike for Peace' plans to hold a bicycle ride in Kazakhstan en route 'Semey-Almaty-Astana' on August 6 through 29. Kazakh Foreign Ministry's press secretary Ilyas Omarov made it public at a weekly briefing.
According to him, the event is going to be dedicated to the 20th anniversary of independence of Kazakhstan and closing of the Semipalatinsk Nuclear test site.
During the 24-day bicycle ride in Kazakhstan the participants will visit East Kazakhstan, Almaty, Zhambyl, Karaganda and Akmola regions.
