Earlier it had been reported that the Federations of the two countries reached an agreement in principle for compensation during the negotiation of the new date of the match and all the legal papers had been sent to FIFA.

According to the regulations, the total will make up to 50 percent of costs. However, Wilson said that Northern Ireland would not refund the cost to the Russian side for travel and stay of the Russian delegation in Belfast, as reported by the "Sport-Express."

We remind that the Russian team arrived in Belfast on March 21, but due to the snow storms and the terrible state of the field at the stadium called "Windsor Park" the World Cup Qualifier 2014 was first moved from 22 th to 23 th day, and then was completely canceled. As a result, the meeting will be held on August 14.
