North Kazakhstan region welcomed Aziada Flame Friday

ASTANA. January 22. KAZINFORM /Sergey Kuznetsov/ Yesterday the northern city of the republic - Petropavlovsk - welcomed the Torch Relay ceremony of the 7th Asian Winter Games.
60 torchbearers were involved in the ceremony in whole. Local executives, public figures, veterans, sportsmen, honorary citizens of Petropavlovsk, representatives of education, healthcare, culture and law-enforcement structures participated in it.
Thousands of local people welcomed the Torch Relay participants at all stages of the route.
The symbol of the 7th Asian Winter Games was lit in Kuwait and was passed by the representatives of large countries of the Asian continent. After then the Flame of Aziada was brought to Kazakhstan by plane. Petropavlovsk became the tenth city to receive the Torch Relay of the Winter Asian Olympics.
