"Nomination of presidential candidates begins on February 26 and ends on March 15 the current year. The right to nominate candidates for the post of the President belongs to republican public associations registered according to the established order and citizens of Kazakhstan by self-nomination," said K.Turgankulov. According to his words, voters' support for a candidate is certified by their signatures in an amount of not less than 1 percent of the total number of voters equally representing at least two-thirds of regions, cities of Almaty and Astana. K.Turgankulov reported that the registration of candidates starts after submitting by them all necessary documents. A candidate should make a contribution in the amount of 1 million 60 thousand tenge to the bank account of the CEC. In addition, prior to registration a candidate and his wife need to submit to the tax authorities a declaration of income and assets as of February 1, 2015. The campaign period will run from 26 March to 24 April 11-00 p.m. Recall, that early presidential elections in Kazakhstan are scheduled for April 26, 2015.
