Nomads and Networks exhibition continues successfully bring more cultural treats along the scientific activities

In conjunction with this exhibit, a number of related academic and cultural events are being organized, the Kazakh Embassy in Washington says.

Nomadic Life Styles and Narratives in Kazakhstan: Then and Now

A workshop will be held in conjunction with the exhibition Nomads + Networks: The Ancient Art and Culture of Kazakhstan, currently at the Sackler Gallery in the Smithsonian Institution until November 11, 2012.

The concept of nomadism has been much debated in recent years. Many cultures have traditionally been nomadic and approaches to studying various aspects of nomadism are just as diverse. This workshop has invited a team of international experts to discuss the topic of nomadism and its contemporary use from multiple angles.
