No Kazakhstanis among victims, injured in floods in Spain – MFA
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has confirmed that there are no Kazakhstani nationals killed or injured as a result of devastating flash floods in Spain, Kazinform News Agency reports.
Earlier it was reported that catastrophic flash flooding in eastern Spain left at least 95 people dead.
According to Carlos Mazón, regional president of Valencia, where floods killed over 50 people, the rescue operation is underway and the death toll may rise. Many reported missing in the region of Albacete.
Video footages on the Interest show bridges and vehicles being washed away by flood waters as well as people climbing into trees in the hope to be rescued. More than 50 people were trapped in one the shopping malls in Aldaia city.
