No Kazakhstanis among those injured in Ecuador - MFA
Seven Kazakh nationals are living in Ecuador today, Kazinform News Agency reports via the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As the Ministry’s press office informed, all of them have been registered at the Consulate. Besides, a family of three people has also arrived in this country as tourists.
The Consul called each of them and instructed them on safety measures. None of the Kazakh citizens has been injured.
It should be noted that Kazakhstanis can visit Ecuador without a visa for up to 30 days.
On January 7, the situation in Ecuador deteriorated sharply after the escape from prison of the leader of the Los Choneros criminal group, known as Fito, who was sentenced to 34 years in prison. As a result, riots occurred in several prisons. The country's authorities declared a state of emergency and imposed a curfew.
