Nine bodies recovered after Ukraine mine accident, 4 missing

DONETSK. June 10. KAZINFORM The bodies of nine miners have been recovered following Monday's coal mine accident in eastern Ukraine, while four others are still unaccounted for, a spokesman for the local mining authority said on Wednesday; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.
"Nine people have been found, four remain unaccounted for as of this morning," the source said.
According to various sources, between 48 and 51 miners were underground at the Skochinsky mine in the Donetsk region at the time of the accident, which is believed to have been caused by a gas explosion. A total of 36 people were hospitalized; Kazinform cites RIA Novosti.
