Nightclub gun murder - 12 year term

PETROPAVLOVSK. KAZINFORM - June 17 specialized interdistrict Criminal Court of North Kazakhstan region found I.Sakharov and D.Sosnin guilty for the murder of Aidos Otarbayev.

Aidos Otarbayev, aged 23, was shot dead at "Pautina" nightclub in the city of Petropavlovsk, North Kazakhstan region. This was informed by the press service of the regional court. As Kazinform previously reported, on March 17, 2014 two groups of young men were arguing on the dancefloor of the club when shot was fired. Aidos Otarbayev was killed by a penetrating gunshot wound of the head. Igor Sakharov and Dmitry Sosnin were apprehended by police. Igor Sakharov was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment. The same court found Dmitry Sosnin guilty and sentenced him to 4 years in jail. In addition, a civil lawsuit satisfied Rosa Otarbaeva's claim, the mother of Aidos Otarbayev, on recovering material damage in the amount of KZT 611 074 from Igor Sakharov.
