Next CIS Summit to focus on international terrorism

"I believe that the problem of international terrorism is the topical one and needs to be discussed at the upcoming CIS Summit in Astana," President Nazarbayev said at the informal meeting of the CIS leaders in Moscow on Friday. In addition, the Kazakh leader congratulated those present on the Victory Day. "In conclusion, I would like to congratulate everyone on the Victory Day. For me, as well as for all Kazakhstanis, the Victory in the Great Patriotic War is the symbol of courage and unity of our people. Heroism and courage, self-devotion and love to the Motherland shown throughout those years are the fundamental values of the patriotic upbringing," Nursultan Nazarbayev said. The informal meeting in Moscow brought together presidents of the CIS member countries, including Kazakhstan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
